Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Ojas Events — the event management and ticketing platform operated by CHITRAM.AI PRIVATE LIMITED(“Ojas”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account, listing an event, or buying a ticket, you agree to them. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind that organisation.

1. The service

Ojas Events lets organisers create event pages, sell and issue tickets, manage attendees and check-ins, and message their audience. Attendees use it to discover events, buy tickets, and manage their bookings.

We provide the platform. Events themselves are run by their organisers: when you buy a ticket, your contract for the event is with the organiser, not with Ojas.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an organiser account. Keep your credentials confidential — activity under your account is your responsibility. Tell us immediately at support@ojas.events if you suspect unauthorised access.

Account information must be accurate and kept current, including your legal or business name, contact email, and tax details where applicable.

3. Organiser responsibilities

As an organiser you are responsible for:

  • the accuracy of your event listings — dates, venue, pricing, and what attendees receive;
  • holding every licence, permission, and insurance your event needs, and complying with the laws that apply to it;
  • honouring the tickets you sell, including your published refund and cancellation policy;
  • collecting and remitting any taxes (including GST) that apply to your sales; and
  • using attendee data only to run the event the attendee registered for, consistent with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.

4. Purchases and payments

Online payments are processed by regulated payment providers (such as Razorpay and Stripe). Ojas does not store your card details. Ticket prices, taxes, and any booking fees are shown before you pay; the amount you confirm is the amount charged.

Some organisers accept offline payment (for example, bank transfer or payment at the venue). Such orders are confirmed only when the organiser marks the payment as received.

5. Refunds and cancellations

Refund and cancellation terms are set by each organiser and shown on the event page or order confirmation. Refund requests go to the organiser first. Where a refund is approved, it is returned through the original payment method.

If an event is cancelled, the organiser is responsible for refunding ticket holders. Platform fees may be non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

6. Platform fees

Our fees for organisers are shown inside the product before you put tickets on sale — typically a small percentage of each ticket plus a fixed amount per ticket, depending on your plan. Fees may be deducted from payouts or charged to the buyer, depending on how you configure your event. We may revise fees with prior notice; revised fees apply to sales made after the notice.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use Ojas Events to:

  • list unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading events, or events that infringe someone else’s rights;
  • send spam or messages unrelated to the event your recipients registered for;
  • probe, overload, or disrupt the platform, or access another account or tenant’s data; or
  • resell access to the platform without our agreement.

We may suspend events or accounts that put attendees, other customers, or the platform at risk.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you upload — event descriptions, images, and branding. You grant us the licence needed to host and display that content so the platform can do its job (for example, showing your event page and sending your ticket emails). You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload.

9. Privacy

How we collect and use personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

10. Service availability and changes

We work to keep the platform available and fast, but we do not promise uninterrupted service — maintenance, upgrades, and events beyond our control can cause downtime. We may improve or change features over time; if a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you in advance.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ojas is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from your use of the platform, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the six months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability arising from fraud.

12. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, after notice where practicable. On termination we will make commercially reasonable efforts to let you export your event and attendee data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to retain or delete it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at the registered office of CHITRAM.AI PRIVATE LIMITED.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version, and material changes are notified to account holders by email or in-product notice before they take effect.

15. Contact
